Rose City Endoscopy is specializing in gastrointestinal endoscopy (colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, gastroscopy, as well as anorectal procedures). We are inspected by CPSO (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario).
Our endoscopists are surgeons who are experienced with colon and rectal cancer surgery. Our surgeons are practicing in Minimally Invasive (Laparoscopic) surgery for Colon and Rectal Cancer patients.
At Rose City Endoscopy, we advocate colon and rectal cancer screening. Best treatment is prevention. The most accurate preventive test is a colonoscopy. If you are over 50 or have relatives with colon or rectal cancer, you should be screened. Colonoscopy is covered by OHIP.
Our doctors are experts at gastrointestinal diseases. We offer gastroscopy when it is required to evaluate diseases of upper digestive tract (such as esopohagus and stomach). Gastroscopy is covered by OHIP.
Colon Cancer takes months or years to develop. It follows a step-wise progression from a small polyp to a cancer. There are no symptoms until Colon or Rectal Cancer is advanced. If polyps can be detected and removed (by colonoscopy), colon cancer will be prevented.
Colorectal Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in Canada. Prevention is best. Once cancer develops, treatments include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Our endoscopists are surgeons who are experienced with colon and rectal cancer surgery. Our surgeons are practicing in Minimally Invasive (Laparoscopic) surgery for Colon and Rectal Cancer patients.
With the current issues affecting our Canadian healthcare systems, such as COVID-19, long waiting lists, and delayed access to much needed medical care, our facility is committed to seeing patients promptly. With that in mind, we require our patients to follow our guidelines regarding cancelling appointments.
If you want to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please do so as soon as possible; so that another patient in need of care can be contacted right away.
